Patton, PA (12/18/2014) – Last year, we got a chance to ride the all-new Polaris Scrambler XP 850 Sport Utility ATV in Great Falls, Montana. We were immediately impressed by its looks and even more by its ride. Like something from a sci-fi movie, Polaris designed the Polaris Scrambler XP 850 with futuristic styling that feature sharp design lines with cast aluminum accents that truly sets the new Polaris Scrambler XP 850 apart from others in the industry.

New for 2014, Polaris released their limited edition Polaris Scrambler XP 850 Sport Utility ATV that comes in an eye popping Voodoo Blue. In addition, the limited edition model comes with several premium upgrades including FOX Podium X shocks, Electronic Power Steering, LED headlights, handguards, and black aluminum wheels.

We had a chance throw a leg over the 2014 Polaris Scrambler XP 850 Limited Edition Sport Utility ATV at Rock Run OHV Park in Patton, PA to test out the new features. Rock Run Recreation features a nice mix of rocky trails, tight woods, hill climbs and more which made for a great facility to put the 2014 Polaris Scrambler XP 850 Limited Edition Sport Utility ATV to the test.

With the push of a button the High-Output 850cc Twin EFI engine with a SOHC comes to life with an impressive 77 horsepower. The throaty sound of the sport tuned stainless steel exhaust growls with every push of the throttle. The peppy engine makes it easy to get down the trail in a matter of seconds. The Polaris Scrambler XP 850 feels more like a sport ATV than it does a Utility ATV, which we liked!

To help control its impressive power, the Polaris Scrambler XP 850 Limited Edition comes with electronic power steering. The EPS helped tremulously on the rocky trails at Rock Run Recreation. The EPS not only reduces kick back, but it also helps reduce steering effort. Without the EPS, we would have been much more tired at the end of the day after riding the rocky trails of central Pennsylvania.

Polaris also chose to add shocks by one of the most well respected after market shocks brands in the industry. The FOX Podium X shocks are compression adjustable and feature piggyback style reservoirs with 10.25” inches of travel. The FOX shocks provide a very plush ride and allow for less squatting when accelerating hard. The premium grade FOX shocks paired with 11.5” of ground clearance makes the Polaris Scrambler XP 850 easy to navigate over large rocks and other obstacles along the trail.
